Screening of the Documentary: 20 Years
Afghanistan is one of the naturally and geologically rich countries in the world for its affluent mineral resources. Also, its location weighs greatly geopolitically. However, it is yet one of the poorest countries, if not the poorest, in the world. Why? “20 Years” delves into the story of Afghanistan to answer the question from an angle never covered by prevailing media sources. It discovers the roots of the crisis challenging its people for the past twenty years and unveils the reasons behind the USA’s interest in this country.
The screening will be followed by an open discussion led by Scott Horton, the author of a 2021 book, Enough Already: Time to End the War on Terrorism. He is also the director of the Libertarian Institute and editorial director of Antiwar.com.
